Bola Tinubu Tells PDP to "Shut Up"

What on heart could have made the Asiwaju of Lagos to make this kind of demonstration, if not his hatred for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. He mounted the podium and took a swipe at the party today (Thursday 13th October, 2011) during an ACN rally in Lagos.

The former governor advised Lagosians to shun PDP in the forthcoming local government elections, which he described as "Poverty Development Party and Peoples Destruction Party," adding that “Since 1999, PDP has been winning by rigging, manipulation, alteration of results, multiple finger prints. Even where they should win, they still rig."

He went further to praise the strides of Governor Babatunde Fashola, saying he's turned Lagos into a mega city and he doesn't regret supporting him. Criticizing the PDP further Tinubu said...

Governor Yakowa Wins Round One, CPC To Appeal

Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa today (Thursday 13th October, 2011) recorded victory against his arch rival, Haruna Seyid of the CPC as the election petition tribunal sitting in Kaduna upheld his election as Governor of Kaduna State.

The Chairman of the tribunal, Justice Garba Kwajafa, dismissed the petition of the CPC candidate on the grounds that it was construed. He reasoned that the petitioner failed to prove his case beyond reasonable doubt... The CPC man vowed to pursue the case to its logical conclusion. He said he believes there are good judges in the Court of Appeal and that he's hopeful of victory in the upper court.

Baba Suwe Arrested in Lagos Airport For Cocaine

This is probably the most unexpected news coming from the movie industry at this time. Popular comic actor, Baba Wuse (reals names Babatunde Omidina) is now under close observation as NDLEA officials wait patiently for him to start excreting the white substances in his stomach - he's said to have ingested some kilograms of Cocaine.

He was apprehended last night at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, as he attempted to board an Air France flight to Paris, France. According to reliable sources, he initially denied swallowing the hard drug but went blank after he was made to go through the scanner. He could not explain the white substances seen in his stomach during the scan.

He's cooling off in custody and will be charged to court as soon as the substances drop.  This man, Baba Suwe, is no doubt one of the best Yoruba actors around. Born on 22nd August, 1958, he lost his wife in 2009 under controversial circumstances... When he drops the 'baby' in his stomach I'll bring you the rest details.

Who Will Save Nollywood from The Craze for Pornography?

See the absurdity on parade in this trailer of a soon to be released Nollywood movie.

Evidences that the Nigerian film industry is taking a dangerous slope towards pornography are emerging at the speed of light with our teenagers and young adults as major victims. No wonder we now record cases of rape (and gang rape) in Nigeria almost on a daily basis. Some Nigerians are good at copying other people’s exploits; the problem is when they do, their focus seems to tilt towards the negative stuffs - knowingly or unknowingly.

Abdulmutallab Threatens America After Pleading Guilty

Spending the rest of his life in jail is not something that really borders 24-year-old Farouk Abdulmutallab at the moment. He seem to be more concerned about the fate of ordinary citizens of the United State of America if their government does not comply with his 'sponsors' demands. Although he pleaded guilty to the charges against him in court, he nonetheless issued out some strong warnings to the US government.

He seem to be passing across a message from 'Mujahedeen' to America. Continue to read what he said...
